Simsbury, CT: From Wedding Day to First Home
The Riverview in Simsbury is one of the venues we photographed most often in our years behind the camera.
Many of those couples have since asked us a different question: what would it take to live here? Since closing the studio in 2021 we have run RYZE Realty Group, a real estate brokerage in Southington, so here is what we see in the Simsbury housing market.

What homes sold for
What this means if you are buying
Simsbury moves quickly. Single-family homes spent about 15 days on the market, and 79% sold for more than their final asking price. Getting pre-approved before you start touring, and being ready to make a decision fast, makes a real difference here.
The market under $400,000 is mostly condos: 46 condos and 27 single-family homes sold below that price in the last year.
Around Simsbury
The Farmington River winds through the middle of Simsbury, with trails along its banks. Above town, a hiking trail in Talcott Mountain State Park climbs to Heublein Tower and views across the valley, and in summer the historic Flower Bridge over the river is planted with flowers from end to end.
